One Cup Coffee Maker Reviews -Tassimo versus the Keurig

One cup coffee maker reviews – Comparing the two popular single serve machines.

There are many options, such as the Tassimo single serve coffee maker, Senseo, and Keurig single cup machine and other brands of single serve coffee machines, if you are looking for a way to have an excellent cup of coffee in a very short span of time in today’s fast paced world.

These brewing systems have many advantages to the old peculator. You can make a cup of coffee in a matter of seconds. They also require no messy filters or measuring of coffee grounds. No more measuring the perfect amount of water, either. All these messy issues are a thing of the past with these coffee makers.

In this article we will be comparing, between the Tassimo and the Keurig brewers on what does each one have to offer and how do they compare against one another.

Tassimo Beverage System

With a Tassimo single serve coffee maker, you have a variety of options to choose from. This beautiful machine will make coffee, cappuccino, lattes, hot cocoa, or even tea.

Each machine uses a T-Disk to make coffee. These are small round disk that have all of the ingredients you will need for your favourite drink. The T disc is bar coded, which lets the machine identify what drink you want, which helps the machine to adjust the water temperature, the quantity of water and also the brewing time to be set for that particular drink.

You simply fill the water reservoir and insert your favourite flavour disc. The machine will brew directly into your coffee cup. Most brew cycles finish in a matter of seconds.

The TA1400 comes with a 68 oz water reservoir where as the TA1200 comes with a 50 oz reservoir. The Tassimo lets you adjust the cup size by moving the pedestal.

Keurig Single Cup Coffee Makers

The Keurig's single cup machines have a lot of the same features. You use a K-Cup to make you favorite drink. It also has a reservoir on the back that you fill with water.

The Keurig B40 comes with a 48 oz reservoir, the Keurig B60 comes with a 48 oz and the Keurig B70 comes with a 60 oz water reservoir. You can brew into a variety of cup sizes including taller cups. It offers various sizes 5 oz, 7 oz, 9 oz and 11 oz depending on which machine you go for.

Keurig has its own brand of K-Cups that come in variety of flavors and they are sold at many coffee houses. They can also be purchased online.

Tassimo Vs Keurig

While each machine has a lot in common, there are some distinct differences.

Coffee Flavors And Choices

The Tassimo can do a large variety of drinks, while the Keurig is limited to only coffee and tea. This means that with a Tassimo, you will have a large selection of choices. The Tassimo has a choice in brands as well. The company even offers some of the most popular brands like Star Bucks Gevalia, Suchard, and Twinings.

The Keurig does, however offer a choice of 150+ variety of K-cups to choose from. It also, offers the my K-cup accessory which lets you brew your favourite blend of coffee which is not an option with the Tassimo.

Another difference is the noise level. The Keurig brews a lot quieter compared to a Tassimo. The brewing process that the two use is distinctly different and creates a different sound.

With the Keurig, the water is constantly being heated, so it is always ready to brew. With a Tassimo, the water must be heated.

Brewing Times & Ease of Use

The Tassimo is also slower to brew. It can take up to one minute for the Tassimo to complete the brew cycle, while the Keurig takes half as much time. Both are relatively easy to clean, however, recent studies indicate the Keurig is the easiest of the two.

The Tassimo single serve coffeemaker also allows you to brew shots of espresso and frothy mile; this is not an option with the Keurig. The Tassimo also automatically adjusts brew temperature and volume, while the Keurig does not.

As far as ease of use, both machines operate very well. The Tassimo’s brew head is somewhat stubborn and requires two hands to operate. The Keurig brew head is comparatively easier to close and can be done by just one hand.

One Cup Coffee Maker Reviews Inconclusion

If you are looking for a single cup coffee machine capable of making you a variety of drinks, the Keurig is not for you. But if a features like the choice of making your preferred blend is important, the Tassimo will not do it for you.

Read one cup coffee maker reviews on the two brands and decide, which are the features you desire in your coffee machine and make up your mind weather it is going to be a Tassimo beverage system or a Keurig single cup coffee maker.
